Hello Everyone,

It is that time of year once again when the best competitors in the region gather together in Yarmouth to compete for the coveted Yarmouth Karate Challenge Cup. This year marks our 17th edition of this exciting competition. The tournament will once again be held at the Mariner`s Center and the events will roll out much the same as last year.
KNS Chief referee, Mr David Griffin Has agreed to conduct an officials clinic on Friday evening. The clinic is for any KNS member brown belt and up who wishes to become an official or who simply wants to increase their knowledge of the WKF competition rules. There is no charge for this clinic. There will also be a kumite clinic running simultaneously. The Instructor is yet to be determined. This clinic is also open to all KNS members  11 years and up. The fee for this clinic is $10.00. Both clinics will run from 7-9 pm on the Friday evening.
Saturdays competition will be mostly the same as other Provincial tournaments with the exception of the King of the Ring divisions for ages 13- 16 Boys & girls. Please remember to pre-register on the KNS web site as there is no registration at the door. Also, in the intrest of fairness, competitors may only register in one Kata and one kumite division (excluding team kata and King of the Ring) We have trophys for best male and female competitor junior/adult as well as best sportsman adult/junior. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in King of the Ring division will also receive trophys.
We are also featuring demonstrations at the dinner break.
Who will be the champions of the Yarmouth Cup! Will your dojo be able to defeat the reigning 2 time champion Windsor Shito-Ryu Dojo?  Tournament registration begins at 8:30 with the action starting at 9:30. I WILL SEE YOU THERE !!
